Logroño......beer , heat and more beer and heat.

Had a good weekend away staying at Martin´s place in Logroño where we arrived on Friday night.

Woke up on Saturday and it was stoking hot and i remember seeing later on 34 degrees at 4 in the afternoon which was far too much for me although in the shade of a terrace with a cold milkshake it was better , There were fiestas going on and i was lucky enough to catch a procession of "gigantes" and "cabezudos".

The ladies went out shopping late afternoon which meant i had a bit of time for some necessary slobbing in the flat and a hearty forty winks.
We didn´t do much sight seeing but when its roasting i´m happy enough doing the rounds of bars with a small beer and snack in each tabern which we did that night and again on Sunday.
The place is well worth a visit especialy if you enjoy a good Rioja wine with plenty of young and not so young people out on the street well into the early hours.
